Vicey Hamby Obituary
Vicey Johnson Hamby, 92, of Langsville, Ohio entered her heavenly home Thursday, May 30, 2024, with her niece, Katrina McGhee by her side. She was born September 26, 1931, in Pike County, Kentucky to the late William Pharaoh and Melvina Johnson. Vicey graduated from Rutland High School in 1951. She was a member of the Eastern Star District 24 for many years and a retired beautician. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, sewing and gardening and was gifted in all of these. She enjoyed watching the Shepards Chapel and the Golden Girls.
Vicey is survived by two special nieces, Sheryl Lambert and Katrina McGhee, who have cared for her for several years, as well as several other nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. Aunt Chickie and Uncle Carlos had no biological children of their own, but helped care for and loved as their own, a brat pack of eight.
