Claudia Babcock Obituary
Claudia Miller Babcock, a remarkable woman, passed away peacefully at home on July 31st, 2024. Claudia was born on May 10th, 1943, the daughter of L. Claude and Iris (Bodimer) Miller. Born and raised in Gallipolis, Ohio, she graduated from Gallia Academy High School, class of 1961 where she remained on the Board of the Alumni Association. She went on to attend Ohio State University, where she met Jackson Babcock while he was completing his master's in the arts. The couple moved to Brooklyn, New York, where they were married and had their daughter, Gamble.
Claudia was a woman of many talents and interests. She had an innate love for theatre, novels, and puzzles, and her keen intellect and curiosity were always evident. Her passion for learning never waned, and she shared this passion with her family and friends. She was known for her sharp wit, kindness, strength, and fierce independence.
