John Edward "Eddie" Kinney, 77, of Vinton, Ohio died Friday, March 14, 2025, in the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio. John was born September 18, 1947, in Pikeville, Kentucky, son of the late John and Willy (Wick) Kinney. A proud U.S. Army Veteran, he retired from the State of Ohio where he was employed as an equipment operator.
John married Fredia Mae Preston Kinney February 17, 1967, in Columbus, Ohio, and together they spent fifty-eight years together, and she survives. To this union were born their children: John (Donna) Kinney, Jr., Susie (Chad) Fitch, Mark (Charity) Kinney, all of Vinton, Ohio; ten grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren as well as several family members and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by numerous brothers and sisters.
Private Funeral services were held at the convenience of the family. The McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, is honored to serve the Kinney Family.
